In a bamboo tunnel on a stretch of forgotten coast in Southern California, we jam around a beachfire under summer stars, paddle out and surf in the moonlight….We even have a rum-filled treasure chest buried under the sand. Then we fall asleep in the bamboo and wake up to the morning glass, pull our boards out of the bushes, and surf all over again. Livin’ the dream.

Soaking up these last hot summer nights surfing under the full-moon, jamming by the bonfire, and sleeping on the sand. Air temp: 72°F, water temperature: 70°F....to quote the The Endless Summer, "It was so pleasant it almost made you sick." Read Trav's journal here...

Adventuring down to the abandoned Malibu dam for some cliff jumping. Low on worries and high on life! One of those epic days with friends that I'll remember forever.

Recycling at its finest. Twenty discarded Xmas trees became the fuel for our 25ft+ inferno. One man's trash is another man's epic bonfire. I have never been so encompassed by flames as when I was holding that burning tree, wading through the surf.
